Ball State's Non-Commercial Expressive Activity Policy Revised, Not Updated on the Office of Student Conduct's Page

MUNCIE, Ind. (The CI) - “The requested document was not found[.]”
While visiting the Office of Student Conduct’s Policies and Proceedures page for the Non-Commercial Expressive Activity and Assembly on University Property Policy on June 16, 2026, The CI was met with a default error page that read the document “has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”
A prior version of the policy is the subject of two federal lawsuits from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Indiana, claiming it restricts free speech.
It appears that, when the policy was revised on June 9, 2026, the link was broken.
A reader reached out that they were able to find the updated version linked to the public Freedom of Expression Faculty Toolkit. However, the link was not updated on the Office of Student Conduct’s page.
